tree friend is owned and developed by DRIFTLAB, LLC. It is built on work other people gave away, and this page is the credit they asked for.

Type

Young Serif, by The Young Serif Project Authors — copyright 2023, used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. The full licence ships with the font at /fonts/OFL.txt.

Code

tree friend uses Capacitor to reach the parts of your phone a web page cannot — its core, filesystem, geolocation, haptics, preferences and share packages, plus two libraries they bring with them. Each is MIT licensed except tslib, which is licensed even more permissively. Their copyright notices, as shipped:

• Capacitor core — copyright (c) 2017-present Drifty Co.
• Capacitor filesystem, geolocation, synapse — copyright (c) 2025 Ionic
• Capacitor haptics, preferences, share — copyright 2020-present Ionic
• tslib — copyright Microsoft Corporation, BSD Zero Clause License

Everything else you see is drawn by the game itself, and everything you hear is generated as it plays. There are no stock assets.

Weather

Sky and weather data from Open-Meteo, used under CC BY 4.0. Values are rounded and interpreted before your tree ever sees them.
